Pause Life, Play Music: A Symphony Season
Throughout the course of the 2007-2008 season, WSRE's cameras accompanied the members of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, examining the vital role the Symphony plays in the cultural life of the community it serves. The hour-long documentary provides a "behind-the-scenes" perspective on the challenging and rewarding lives of the region's premier professional musicians. Highlights include the concert performance of Broadway star (and former Pensacola Symphony Children's Chorus member) Ashley Brown and a thrilling recording of Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini, produced in WSRE's Jean and Paul Amos Performance Studio with the technical assistance of Marc Bauman, supervising producer of the PBS program Live From Lincoln Center.
