WSRE Documentary Chosen for PBS “Stories of Service” and Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Veterans Day Screening

WSRE has received news that the public television station’s documentary film production, “They Were Our Fathers,” will be part of Veterans Day observances presented by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as well as PBS. “They Were Our Fathers” documents the stories of Gold Star children who lost their fathers in service during the Vietnam War.

WSRE invites music fans to be part of the live studio audience for the ninth season of the televised concert series, “StudioAmped.” Nine shows will be recorded in the WSRE Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio from September 30 to October 13. All performances are open to the public, and admission is free. Donations for MANNA Food Pantries will be collected at the door.

The “RALLY 2016” on-air candidate forum for the upcoming general elections in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 25–26. To participate in the live broadcast, each candidate must demonstrate that he or she satisfies the candidate forum criteria for their particular race before 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
