Dance through the decades at WSRE’s 50th Anniversary kickoff

WSRE Documentary Chosen for PBS “Stories of Service” and Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Veterans Day Screening

WSRE has received news that the public television station’s documentary film production, “They Were Our Fathers,” will be part of Veterans Day observances presented by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as well as PBS. “They Were Our Fathers” documents the stories of Gold Star children who lost their fathers in service during the Vietnam War.

WSRE’s “StudioAmped” welcomes music fans to the Amos for nine free shows

WSRE invites music fans to be part of the live studio audience for the ninth season of the televised concert series, “StudioAmped.” Nine shows will be recorded in the WSRE Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio from September 30 to October 13. All performances are open to the public, and admission is free. Donations for MANNA Food Pantries will be collected at the door.

On PBS stations nationwide, Saturday is American Graduate Day, and a four-hour broadcast from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CDT will spotlight individuals and non-profit organizations dedicated to helping youth stay on track to high school graduation. Just prior to and immediately following the broadcast, WSRE will premiere videos recognizing Sacred Heart Hospital’s Early Steps and Studer Community Institute.
