FPREN
Florida Public Radio Emergency Management Network (FPREN) is a collaboration of 13 public radio stations that provide pertinent information to 99 percent of Florida’s Florida evacuation route sign showing FPBS member station population during statewide emergencies. The network is equipped to remain on-air  during hurricanes and other natural disasters, and provides LIVE statewide coverage of breaking news from the Governor’s EOC Headquarters in Tallahassee via broadcast and mobile apps.

WSRE is stronger than ever in both infrastructure and staffing and equipped to stay on the air even during times of massive power outages in order to deliver important information to you before, during and after an emergency.

In the event of a weather incident, we will continue to provide recovery information for as long as necessary. Working in partnership with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and our local Emergency Operations Centers, you can be assured of having access to the most up to date information.

If you are travelling throughout the state you can still get the same important information from any of the FPRENs interstate highways indicates the exact frequency of the public radio station in each area. Additionally, mobile devices are able to obtain local information from any of the FPREN stations at any time.

During times of emergency, wsre.org will have all of the information you need in one place. Click here for tips on preparing yourself for hurricane season.
