Jeff Weeks welcomes Roy Kinsey, volunteer pilots and the WWII veterans they honored in flight

PENSACOLA, Fla., November 3, 2015—During the Blue Angels Pensacola Beach air show on July 10 and 11, members of America’s Greatest Generation were able to relive their days as young aviators. Roy Kinsey set the stage for this unique honor and opportunity, and he will be among the guests on “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” airing this Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. on WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast.

Kinsey is a local attorney and aviation enthusiast who, with fellow volunteer pilots, honored World War II veterans by flying them in their Stearman airplanes over the air show crowds at Pensacola Beach. Volunteer pilots from Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Florida flew in to support “Veterans Flight: The Final Mission.”

In addition to Kinsey and the other volunteer pilots, host Jeff Weeks interviews the veterans who participated for an unvarnished look at what life was like for them as America faced one of its most historic challenges.
