MEDIA ALERT: WSRE PBS KIDS & Family Day at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park will make a splash for family fun and early learning on Saturday

WHAT:                
The third annual WSRE PBS KIDS & Family Day at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park will feature costumed characters from PBS KIDS shows including Super Why, Princess Presto, The Cat in the Hat, Curious George, The Man in the Yellow Hat and the PBS KIDS Boy & Girl; along with hands-on children’s activities including crafts, a scavenger hunt and bounce house; and Gulfarium’s regular dolphin and sea lion shows, animal exhibits and aquariums.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11
 
NOTE: In addition to WSRE PBS KIDS and Family Day, Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park will operate under regular park hours from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Park admission closes at 3:30 p.m.

WHY:                   
WSRE PBS KIDS & Family Day at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is an educational outreach event of WSRE and is being held in celebration of the station’s 50th anniversary and the launch of the new WSRE PBS KIDS channel, now broadcasting 24/7 over the air on channel 23.4 and via local cable providers. Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park will donate a portion of the day’s park entrance fees to the WSRE-TV Foundation, helping WSRE continue its delivery of quality educational television programs and services.
