PENSACOLA, Fla., March 18, 2016—-Characters from WSRE’s PBS KIDS programs, including The Cat in the Hat, Curious George and The Man with The Yellow Hat, have visited local classrooms this week. The Cat in the Hat brought reading fun to students at N.B. Cook Elementary, while Curious George and The Man with The Yellow Hat read with VPK, kindergarten and special education classes at Weis Elementary School and with preschoolers at Cokesbury Methodist Children’s Center and Campfire USA’s Child Development Center at Pensacola State College.

Along with Super Why and Princess Presto, the PBS KIDS characters are in the area for Saturday’s WSRE PBS KIDS & Family Day at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with children’s learning activities in addition to the park’s regular marine life attractions and educational exhibits.
