WSRE and Blue Wahoos hit a home run for early learning Aug. 13

WHO: WSRE and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos                         

WHAT: “Hit a Home Run for Early Learning” is the theme for this WSRE PBS KIDS day at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Starting an hour before the Blue Wahoos’ home game vs. the Mobile BayBears, children can participate in fun learning activities at the WSRE Imagination Station outside the stadium. Kids visiting the Imagination Station will receive a free book and families will receive a free WSRE PBS KIDS beach ball as they leave the game. Items available while supplies last.

Children will also meet and greet with the following costumed characters from PBS KIDS shows at the Imagination Station and inside the stadium during the game: Curious George, The Man with the Yellow Hat, Super Why! and Clifford the Big Red Dog.

WHEN: Starts at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 13
WHERE: Blue Wahoos Stadium at 351 W. Cedar Street, Pensacola

WHY: WSRE and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos are partnering to help families discover the joy of learning and to spotlight the importance of early learning on a child’s brain development, school readiness and future success.
