PENSACOLA, Fla., May 3, 2016—WSRE’s local show lineup for May begins this Thursday with new episodes of “In Your Own Back Yard” hosted by Sherri Hemminghaus Weeks at 7 p.m. and “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” at 7:30 p.m.

Second in the “Forts of Pensacola Bay” series, “In Your Own Backyard” explores Fort Barrancas on board Naval Air Station Pensacola. The national historic landmark saw battle during the Civil War and is considered one of the best preserved brick forts in the U.S.

Waffle House Vice Chairman Emeritus Bert Thornton discusses his book, “Find an Old Gorilla: Pathways Through the Jungle of Business and Life,” on “Conversations.” Thornton climbed the ranks at Waffle House from manager trainee to president and chief operating officer. The book zeros in on how the right mentors can positively impact lives and careers.
