WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, invites you to get nerdy!

Whether you’re a nerd for PBS standard-bearers like NOVA and Nature; obsessed with MASTERPIECE dramas and mysteries like Downton Abbey and Sherlock; or still enjoy PBS KIDS classics like Sesame Street, spinoffs like Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, or new nerd-friendly children’s shows like Odd Squad, you can proudly claim the label, PBS Nerd.

In addition to providing intellectually fulfilling TV programs, WSRE offers local PBS Nerds educational entertainment through community events including free Public Square Speakers Series lectures, Imagination Station play dates for families, free StudioAmped concerts and other Amos Studio performances. We keep it local on the air, as well, with shows like Conversations with Jeff Weeks, In Your Own Backyard, Aware! and inStudio.
