The Vietnam War
Preview Screening
7pm Thursday, Sept 7 (Amos Studio)

This film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick features testimonies from the Vietnam War of nearly 100 witnesses, including Americans who fought in the war and others who opposed it, Vietnamese combatants and civilians from both sides of the war. Come preview series highlights on the Amos Studio’s big screen.

 

The 2 Sides Project
Public Square Speakers Series Event & Film Screening
7pm Friday, Sept 29

The 2 Sides Project is a nonprofit created in 2015 to connect sons and daughters who lost their fathers on both sides of the Vietnam War. The organization has inspired a new feature documentary, which follows six Americans in Vietnam as they discover a country and a people with a shared history and common grief.

Heroes Among Us Speakers Series
6pm Last Thursday, May–Oct
Veterans Memorial Park, Pensacola

Speakers are presented by the Marine Corps League, J.R. Spears Detachment 066. Admission is free and donations are accepted for the Veterans in Distress Fund. WSRE will be present for the July (Korean War Remembrance Night) and August (Marine Aviation Night) events with related program and event information.
