How to Watch

Option 1: Watch free, over-the-air with your old analog TV, an antenna & a new TV converter box

If you want to continue watching free, over-the-air television with your old analog TV and antenna (or “rabbit ears”), you will need to purchase a new digital TV converter box to receive digital channels.

Once you've hooked up your new digital TV converter box, you can start watching all four of WSRE's digital channels for free!

Benefits of Option 1

- Better picture and sound
- View HD programs but at lower than HD quality
- Keep your same television
- Watch 24 hours of WSRE programming
- FREE! No monthly subscription fee, only the one-time cost of the TV converter box

Option 2: Watch free, over-the-air with a new digital TV & an antenna

If you have a TV with a built-in digital tuner or want to purchase one, you can receive WSRE's digital signal over-the-air for free, provided you are in our viewing area.

Option 3: Subscribe to cable or satellite and watch with an old analog TV or a new digital TV.

If you subscribe to cable or satellite, you can receive their package of digital channels on either your old analog TV or digital TV. Some of WSRE's digital channels may not be available from your cable or satellite provider. Consult your cable or satellite company for information. Currently, Cox Communications, BrightHouse Networks and Riviera Utilities provide all four of WSRE’s digital channels to their subscribers. Mediacom-Santa Rosa County subscribers can watch WSRE HD, but not our other two digital channels. Our regular, analog channel can still be found on all cable and satellite systems.

Benefits of Option 3

Your switch to digital is complete
- Depending on your provider, you may receive all the digital channels
- No antenna needed
