“RALLY” is produced by WSRE in cooperation with both the League of Women Voters of Okaloosa & Walton Counties and the League of Women Voters of the Pensacola Bay Area. The purpose of “RALLY” is to give the Northwest Florida community of viewers an unbiased look at the candidates and an opportunity to hear each candidate’s responses to questions on current issues. WSRE provides the broadcast program as a public service and encourages all citizens to vote.
Mollye Barrows is the producer and will co-host the programs with WUWF’s Sandra Averhart.
The “RALLY 2018” broadcasts for the upcoming primary and general elections in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties have been scheduled for August 20–22 and October 29–30 respectively. “RALLY 2018” will cover the following campaigns:

In an effort to be fair to candidates, and in compliance with federal election laws as they apply to federal races, a set of objective criteria are established. Candidates are required to satisfy the criteria in order to receive an invitation to appear on “RALLY.”
To participate in the primary election broadcast, each candidate must respond before 5 p.m. CST on Friday, August 2. The criteria deadline for the general election broadcast is 5 pm CST on Friday, October 12. Candidates must demonstrate satisfaction of the criteria via email to Kasey Jones at email@example.com.
As stated in the criteria, WSRE reserves the right not to cover particular political races and, notwithstanding its having invited a candidate or candidates to appear, WSRE reserves the right to cancel any scheduled program.
