Connecting the Community Thursdays | 7 p.m. Connecting the Community is a weekly, half-hour public affairs show. Born in the wake of Hurricane Ivan, CTC evolved into an issues-oriented show that keeps viewers connected to their community. Subjects include politics, education, health, economic development, religion, and others that usually involve multi-dimensional issues and a variety of viewpoints. Conversations with Jeff Weeks Fridays | 9 p.m. Longtime Pensacola news personality Jeff Weeks is the host of a new weekly series on WSRE. Filmed in high definition, the program is a half-hour in length and is “personality-driven,” featuring in-depth discussions with unique individuals and leading newsmakers from all walks of life. “I want people to walk away feeling inspired and engaged by the individuals they meet on the program, but also to take away information they can actually use in their everyday lives,” states Jeff Weeks, series host. Legislative Review: Dialogue with the Delegation This program keeps viewers up-to-date on community issues. WSRE hosts a live dialogue with the Northwest Florida Legislative Delegates. All Legislators are given the opportunity to address important issues facing Northwest Florida. The general public also has the chance to ask questions of their Legislators by phone, mail or email. Legislative Review is hosted by Lloyd Patterson and covers many topics ranging from legislation to the economy. This program airs twice a year before and after the legislative session. |
