Pearl Harbor Remembered on WSRE's Conversations with Jeff Weeks
WSRE’s “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” remembers Pearl Harbor on Thursday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. Jeff talks with two Pearl Harbor survivors as well as an expert in 20th century United States history. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the attack on US Forces.
Navy Veterans Cass Phillips and Frank Emond each share with Jeff their very personal stories about the day Pearl Harbor was bombed. Then, Dr. Patrick Moore discusses what led to the attack and the ultimate effect the event had on the history of the world.
“Conversations with Jeff Weeks” airs as part of WSRE’s new all-local evening programming block, Explore More Thursdays. The new Thursday night lineup airs 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and also features new series “In Your Own Backyard” hosted by Sherri Hemminghaus Weeks, locally produced documentaries and performing arts programs.
In addition to “Conversations with Jeff Weeks,” the December 15 local Thursday night lineup includes a look inside local businessman Gordon Sprague’s personal antique collection on “In Your Own Backyard” at 7 p.m., the “Pause Life Play Music: A Symphony Season” documentary beginning at 8 p.m., and at 9 p.m. “StudioAmped” featuring Mama Lucky.
