WSRE’s StudioAmped Concert Series Features The Internationals
— Free Concerts, Original Music, Every Friday —

The Internationals will be the featured performers of WSRE’s StudioAmped concert series on Friday, February 25 at 7 p.m. The Internationals play original country music, combining the classic sounds of 60s & 70s-era Nashville with the best of the Texas "Outlaw" singers and songwriters. The Internationals was formed in 2008 by Cumming, GA, natives Jody Abernathy and Mark Mundy to showcase their original country music. Whether it’s a packed three-night run at The Bluebird Cafe, a sold-out opening slot with Jeffrey Steel at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindley, or a raucous night at one of Atlanta’s honky tonk bars, The Internationals deliver a show loaded with superior musicianship, compelling songs, and strong vocals, perfectly in keeping with the long tradition of American country music. The Internationals released their first full-length CD titled Live From Smith’s Olde Bar in January 2010 and is currently working on a new album scheduled to be completed by their February StudioAmped performance. Band members include: Jody Abernathy (vocals, guitar); Mark Mundy (guitar); John Paul Langdon (drums); Ryan Sauls (bass); Mark Van Allen (steel guitar, lap steel). For more information on The Internationals, visit their website at www.internationalsband.com.
