WSRE’s “Corks and Forks” - Third Annual Destin Wine & Food Classic a Sellout Success

WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, recently held its Third Annual WSRE Destin Wine & Food Classic  “Corks and Forks” on Saturday, February 26 at the HarborView Room inside the Emerald Grande. The public television fundraiser was a sellout success raising over $30,000  towards the mission of local public television station WSRE. Guests enjoyed an evening of perfect pairings featuring WSRE medal-winning wines and a four-course dinner prepared by Tom Ford of Cuvee Bistro, Jim Richard of Stinky’s Fish Camp & Blue Mountain Catering Company, Jimmy McManus of the Emerald Grande and Carl Schaubhut of Restaurant Fire. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Kendal Shelton & Friends.

A live auction conducted by Ted Corcoran raised nearly a third of the evening’s support. This year’s event co-chairs were Demetria and Richard McNeese and Debbie and Bruce Craul. The Third Annual WSRE Destin Wine & Food Classic was presented by The Emerald Grande and sponsored by: Gulf Power Co., McNeese Title LLC, McNeese Law Firm, Republic National Distributing, First American Title Insurance Company, Rock Hard Designs, Cox Communications, Destin Magazine, Dlux Printing and the Northwest Florida Daily News.
