Grammy Nominated Singer-Songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman on Conversations with Jeff Weeks February 2
On Thursday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m., WSRE’s “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” features Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman.
Beth Nielsen Chapman’s hit songs have been recorded across a variety of musical genres by a who’s who of great artists including Faith Hill, Bette Midler, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Diamond and Willie Nelson. From the tragedy of her husband’s death in 1994, through her battle with breast cancer and a brain tumor a few years later, Chapman has comforted herself and inspired millions with her music. Chapman shares with Jeff the stories of her personal challenges and ultimate triumphs. Tune in to see, hear and feel her optimism, and listen as she shares some of her songs with just her voice and guitar in an acoustic set.
“Conversations with Jeff Weeks” airs as part of WSRE’s new all-local evening programming block, Explore More Thursdays. The new Thursday night lineup airs 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and also features new series “In Your Own Backyard” hosted by Sherri Hemminghaus Weeks, locally produced documentaries and performing arts programs.
In addition to “Conversations with Jeff Weeks,” the February 2 local Thursday night lineup includes a look at the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival on “In Your Own Backyard” at 7 p.m., the local documentary “Pause Life, Play Music: A Symphony Season” beginning at 8 p.m. and at 9 p.m. “StudioAmped” featuring the music of the regional band The Gills.
