Sandestin Hilton to Present First Annual Destin Wine & Food Classic
Benefiting Local Non-profit PBS TV Station WSRE

February 27, 2009, 7 p.m. at Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood

WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, invites you to “Taste, Toast and Tour the World” at its first Wine & Food Classic fundraising event to be held in Destin , Fla. The event is being presented and hosted by the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa, and the festivities will take place at the award-winning Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood located at 4000 Sandestin Boulevard South, Friday, February 27, 2009 at 7 p.m. The fundraiser is limited to the first 120 guests. Tickets are $200 per person and can be reserved by calling (850) 622-1500. More information about the event is available at WSRE’s Website www.wsre.org.

Guests will be treated to an international-themed evening featuring wine pairings and fine dining represented by four countries – U.S.A., France, Italy and Spain. Four of the area’s finest chefs are lending their talents to create an exquisite four-course meal — Chef Irv Miller of Jackson’s Steak House in Pensacola will prepare appetizers representing the U.S.A, Chef Danny Trace of Commander's Palace will prepare a Spanish salad course, an Italian main course will be presented by Bruce McAdoo of Seagar's Prime Steaks and Seafood, and the pièce de résistance, a French dessert course fashioned by Jim Richard of Stinky's Fish Camp and The Lake Place. Rounding out the evening will be an auction for culinary adventures and other items, as well as special entertainment by the Ray Hitchell Trio. Special room rates at the Hilton are available for attendees.

Wine representing each country will be provided by Republic National Distributing Company and Southern Wine & Spirits of North Florida. The fundraiser is made possible by presenting sponsors Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa and Seagar’s Prime Steaks and Seafood. Other event sponsors include Cox Communications, Destin Magazine, Gulf Power Co, Sprint|Nextel and Tom White the Printer.
