WSRE People on the Move: WSRE Announces New Foundation Board of Director Officer Appointments and Members

WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, announces new foundation board of director officer appointments and members. Michael Johnson, a local State Farm Insurance Agent, is the Chairman; Vice Chairman is Gordon Sprague, a local entrepreneur; Shawn Brantley, owner/president of Brantley & Associates Real Estate Appraisal Corporation, is the Secretary; and new board members include the following:

Renee CreechRenee Creech is an account executive with Lamar Advertising. Renee grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and graduated from the University of Mississippi. She is active with the local school system and resides in Gulf Breeze with husband Jim and their two children, Haley and Andy.

Ashton HaywardAshton Hayward is owner of Pair & Hayward Properties in Pensacola. He is a past board member of the Pensacola Country Club, City of Pensacola Zoning Board of Adjustment Volunteer, Gulf Coast Kids House Volunteer and Pace Center for Girls. He and his wife, An, have one son, five year old Aiden

Jane MerrillJane Merrill is actively involved in a number of local community organizations, including the ARC Foundation. Jane and her husband, Will, have three grown sons, Collier, Burney and Will III and daughter-in-law, Lisanne. Through Jane and Will’s generous contributions to WSRE, the station’s computer graphics suite is named in their honor.

Sandy SimsSandy Sims is the Public Affairs Manager for Gulf Power Company. She serves on many community and industry-related committees and boards, including the Northwest Florida State College of Board of Trustees. Sandy and her husband, Randy, have two sons, Ryan and Cody.

 

Henry PruettHenry Floyd “Jack” Pruett is a graduate from the University of Alabama and Emory University School of Dentistry. Jack has practiced dentistry since 1977. He is the current President of the Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration, a member of the Florida Dental Association, Cantonment Rotary Club and Gadsden Street United Methodist Church. He is married to Dr. Donna Jacobi.

Johnnie WrightJohnnie Wright is a native Pensacolian. He is the Market Leader and Senior Vice President with Hancock Bank. He is currently serving as a member of the Ronald McDonald House and First United Methodist Finance Committee. He and his wife Karen have three children, Branigan, Reece and Lawson.

 

The WSRE Foundation, Inc. was established in 1991 as a direct support organization of Pensacola Junior College (PJC) to support the activities and capital and operating needs of WSRE, a public broadcasting TV station.
