
WSRE to Air Live “Rally” Candidate Forums
for Upcoming Special Elections.

Tuesday, May 21st @ 7PM - General Election Candidates
WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of the Pensacola Bay Area, will co-produce and televise two live candidate forums for the upcoming special election for the Florida House District 2 seat, previously held by the late Clay Ford. “Rally: Special Election” will feature primary candidates on Thursday, May 9 at 8 p.m. and general election candidates on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Voters will soon go to the polls for a Special Primary Election on May 14, 2013, and a Special General Election on June 11, 2013. Longtime news reporter Drexel Gilbert will host.
Confirmed participating candidates for the primary election edition of “Rally: Special Election” on Thursday,May 9 at 8 p.m. include:
Ed Gray, III – Republican
Mike Hill – Republican
Scott Miller – Republican
Jack Nobles – Republican
David Radcliffe – Republican
Mark Taylor – Republican
Democrat Jeremy Lau will be joined by the winner of the Republican primary on the Tuesday, May 21, 7 p.m. general election edition of “Rally: Special Election.”
The purpose of “Rally: Special Election” is to give citizens an unbiased look at the candidates vying to represent them and learn where they stand on the important issues that affect them. WSRE, a service of Pensacola State College, provides the program as a public service and encourages all citizens to participate in exercising their constitutional right to vote.
