Children from kindergarten to third grade are encouraged to write and illustrate their own stories and enter them in the 15th Annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest. These stories are judged locally and the winners will be submitted to the national contest.

Download, complete, print, and return this entry form along with the young writer's book by Friday, March 20th, 2009 at 4 p.m. You may mail or drop off the sumbmission to:

The Prizes: Winning entries from the local contest will receive READING RAINBOW books and prizes from WSRE. Also, the winning entries that are submitted to the national contest will be eligible for the national awards.
Once the submissions have been received and judged, WSRE will post the 2009 winning entries online.
