THE GILLS (2008)

The Gills concert will premiere Thursday, October 16 at 8:30 p.m. The Gills are a five-member band with an eclectic and soulful sound. They recently had the honor of performing as the opening act for Sheryl Crow in April 2008. The band was started by Jesse Wheeler who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2003. Wheeler turned to music as a form of support and therapy. Wheeler describes their music as upbeat and "Beatle-ish." Today, The Gills members include: Jesse Wheeler (vocals, guitar), Nathan Dillaha (guitar), Andrew Prince (bass), Matthew Prince (drums) and Allan Castleberry (piano, keys). The Gills on MySpace
