Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and four years’ experience in a non-profit organization with responsibility for major giving, planned giving, capital campaign, or other senior level fundraising programs or equivalent experience as a trust officer, investment advisor, or financial planner. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer bachelor’s degree and six years’ experience in a non-profit organization in the areas of major, planned giving, or senior level fundraising; a proven track record in meeting donor solicitations/fundraising goals; experience using automated donor database systems/software; skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products, and new media technologies; and extensive experience independently managing major giving campaigns including board member engagement. FRINGE BENEFITS: The value of the benefits package provided by the college is nearly 36% of the base salary and includes major medical insurance, life insurance and Florida retirement contributions. Supplemental life, dental, vision, and disability insurance are available at group rates. Other benefits offered include tuition waivers, educational opportunities, and paid sick and annual leave. The Manager, Major and Planned Giving is a full-time professional position with an anticipated start date of August 12, 2013 but a different start date may be negotiated. The Manager, Major and Planned Giving will be responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive and dynamic plan to identify, cultivate, and provide stewardship to WSRE’s major and planned giving initiatives, including annual gifts of $1,000 or more, bequests, trust arrangements, charitable gift annuities, and other planned giving initiatives. The successful candidate will plan, develop, and execute major giving initiatives as needed to support station operations, develop alternative giving programs for major gifts, analyze viewer/supporter/member demographics, prepare solicitation materials, and develop a strategic plan for successful execution, including planning and execution of donor cultivation and recognition events. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating efforts with other development team members, assist with other fundraising efforts as assigned, including pledge drives, special events, grant proposals, and outreach activities, utilize tools and best industry practices provided by the Public Broadcasting Service, and employ discretionary practices as it relates to donor information and station policy. The Manager, Major and Planned Giving may be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. This position reports to the Director of Development, WSRE. This is a grant funded position.


$38,000.00 - $47,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
