WSRE Teacher Training Institute 2008

In partnership with the Foundation for Excellence and the Escambia County School District's Instructional Technology department, WSRE hosted a technology showcase and teacher training event for 250 K-12 teachers and college instructors, focusing on ways to strengthen the curriculum through the creative use of technology. Featured guest speakers included Elizabeth Wolmak from PBS Teacherline and Dr. Kate Kemker, Bureau Chief of Instruction and Innovation from the Florida Department of Education.

2008 WSRE's Teacher Training Institute (WTTI)
REGISTRATION CLOSED - CONFERENCE IS FULL

WTTI is a professional development opportunity for educators focusing on strengthening the K-12 curriculum through the innovative use of technology.  WTTI is hosted by WSRE in partnership with the Foundation for Excellence in Education and the Escambia County School District.  Space is limited.  Only the first 250 applications received will be accepted.

WSRE's Amos Performance Studio, located at 1000 College Boulevard on the Pensacola Junior College main campus.

Technology Showcase
Friday, May 2, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m
Featuring Escambia County's Technology Learning Groups, hors d'oeurves, an opportunity to network with colleagues. Featured Speaker:  Kate Kemker, Director of Bureau of Instruction and Innovation, Florida Department of Education.


Teacher Training Institute: Digital School Initiative
Saturday, May 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Featuring break-out sessions on a variety of technologies...Wikis, iTunes, Garageband, iPhoto, Podcasting, Smartboards, 3D Computer Games, Geocaching, Teachers' Domain, PBS Teacherline and much more!  Continental breakfast and lunch provided. Hands-on learning!  Door prizes!

How Do I Participate?
