Be My Neighbor Day is March 16 at WSRE

PENSACOLA, Fla., February 23, 2024 ― WSRE PBS invites the community to come together for the station’s annual Be My Neighbor Day on Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the station’s Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio. This free, family-fun event emphasizes early learning, health and safety, and the neighborly values of Mister Rogers and Daniel Tiger—two of public television’s most beloved characters.

Kids will meet and greet with Daniel Tiger, from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” on PBS KIDS, and enjoy fun activities presented by the following organizations: The Arc Gateway Help Me Grow, Be-YOU-tiful Nutrition, Children’s Home Society/Healthy Families Program, Code Ninjas Pensacola, Community Action Program Committee, Conchita’s Catering, Covering Florida, Culligan Water, Dixon School for the Arts & Sciences, Downtown Dave, Dribbles the All-Knowing Cat, Early Learning Coalition of Escambia, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Blue, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Prepaid College Board, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Kona Ice, Maghen Gardner (Author), Story Time with Dr. Rameca Vincent Leary, Mixon Magic Performing Arts, Open Books, Pensacola Fire Department, Pensacola Police Department, Pensacola State College Cosmetology, Ronald McDonald House, Fla. Rep. Michelle Salzman, Schmidt’s Music, State Farm, Tennis-4-Everyone, United Way of West Florida, West Florida Public Libraries, Western Panhandle Early Steps, Winterfest of Pensacola and Wishing Seeds.
