Be My Neighbor Day offers family fun with Daniel Tiger

Be My Neighbor Day 2025

PENSACOLA, Fla., April 7, 2025 ― WSRE PBS invites families to Be My Neighbor Day on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the station’s Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio. This annual family-fun event emphasizes early learning, health and safety, and the neighborly values of beloved PBS characters Mister Rogers and Daniel Tiger. Admission is free.

Kids can greet Daniel Tiger and enjoy fun activities presented by more than 40 organizations, including American Red Cross; The Arc Gateway (Help Me Grow Escambia); Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital; Autism Pensacola; Ballet Pensacola; Code Ninjas; Early Learning Coalition; Emerald Coast Utilities Authority Quench Buggy; Escambia County Healthy Start; Escambia County Medical Services; Escambia County PTAs & PTSAs; Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse; Florida Department of Health; FDLRS Child Find; Girl Scouts of Gateway Council; Goodwill Gulf Coast; Gulf Coast Freedom Schools; Health and Hope Clinic; High School High Tech; Key Tutoring Resources; Kona Ice of Gulf Breeze; Open Books Bookstore; Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program; Pensacola Children’s Chorus; Pensacola Children’s Museum; Pensacola Fire Department; Pensacola MESS Hall; Pensacola Police Department K-9 Unit; Ronald McDonald House; Santa Rosa County Healthy Start Coalition; Schmidt’s Music; Soul Train Club; Splash City Adventures; United Way of West Florida; Valerie’s House; Western Panhandle Early Steps; West Florida Public Libraries; Pensacola State College Cosmetology, Dental Hygiene and Early Childhood Education programs; and Pensacola State College Recruiting.

In addition to meet-and-greets with Daniel Tiger, there will be rides on the Winterfest train and performances by Ballet Pensacola, Dixon School of Arts & Sciences and Pensacola Little Theatre. Plus, WSRE will offer Green Screen Fun in a production studio where kids can see themselves appear on TV.
