Pensacola State Today | Workforce Education Update

Host Rameca Vincent Leary, Ph.D., and her guests discuss the numerous workforce programs the College has to offer, such as truck driver training, culinary & hospitality, and health care. The panel includes PSC President Dr. Ed Meadows, Director of Workforce Education Michael Listau, Dean of Health Sciences Dr. Dusti Sluder and Health Sciences Department Head Dr. Mitzie Sowell.

Hosted by Rameca Vincent Leary, Ph.D.,Pensacola State Today follows the news and information about student achievements, community engagement and educational programs. From the South Santa Rosa and Century centers, from Warrington to Milton to the main Pensacola campus, stay up to date on College’s people, places and programs.

Over the years, Leary’s hard work has been recognized on many fronts. She has an extensive background in television news, having served in numerous capacities at WCSC-TV Channel 5 in Charleston over a span of eight years. Her extensive duties included work as a Producer, Reporter, News Anchor, Live 5 News at Noon Host, and Public Affairs Director.

Leary serves as Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives at Pensacola State College (PSC) and is also a faculty member in the Business Department. She was previously an adjunct instructor in the Department of English and Communications. As a testament of her dedication to students, she was named “Outstanding New Faculty Member” for 2018-2019. Meanwhile, her work in television is ongoing. As host for inStudio and Pensacola State Today on WSRE-TV, she is able to explore community-oriented and PSC-related concerns that are pertinent in an ever-changing global environment. The on-air coverage spans portions of Florida and Alabama. Leary’s accomplishments also include work in film, commercials, print ads, pageantry, and poetry.
